Elijah by Felix Mendelssohn - premiered in August 1846

The Old Testament prophet Elijah is the subject of this popular oratorio. Mendelssohn’s genius concentrates on the vivid details of the Biblical story, including fire and brimstone and a ferocious storm which erupts when the drought Elijah invokes is broken after 42 months. Cantiamo's production was recorded live in San Francisco, California’s famed Grace Cathedral in July of 2000. The marvelous voice and artistry of Art Schuller is featured in the title role.
This double CD set abounds with enthusiasm and high emotion.

Requiem by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - premiered in 1791

The combined forces of Cabrillo Choral Arts (Cantiamo! Cabrillo, Cabrillo Symphonic Chorus, Cabrillo Chorale, Cabrillo Children and Youth Chorus) took great pleasure in performing with orchestra the beloved Requiem of Mozart  in May 2002 in Aptos, California. This live recording also showcases the Children and Youth Chorus in the Tu Virginum Corona from Exsultate Jubilate, Agnus Dei from the Coronation Mass, and the lovely motet “Ave Verum Corpus”.
